About the PTO
Formed in March 2022, we are a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization made up of parents, caregivers, teachers, administrators, and support staff who are dedicated to the success of our children. We seek to build community through enrichment and volunteerism, strengthen communications, and support school staff, students, and families.
Our primary goal as a PTO is to provide our school with activities, resources, and volunteers that will enrich and maximize the education of our children and to benefit the school. In the past, we have organized activities for our students and families like the Read-A-Thon, Geography Bee, Harvest Festival, Talent Show, Science Bee, and Movie Night. We supply volunteers at school events like the Winter Celebration, Heritage Celebrations, Prospective Parent Tours and Career Fair. We also created a native plant garden, a monarch waystation, and implemented LAUSD's first microforest on campus.
We work on increasing communication and community through our online groups and through the Room Parents, and work closely with teachers, school staff, and the principal on school events and initiatives.
Your input and ideas are essential. With volunteers, teachers, and school support, we can do anything, as long as we have the buy-in, willpower and labor to get it done!
